Thirty-three-year-old Nataliya Kuznetsova, a female bodybuilder, has earned the title of the world’s most muscular woman. She is a world champion across several disciplines, including arm lifting, the bench press, and the deadlift.
From a Skinny Teenager to “She-Hulk”
This Russian athlete, often referred to as a “she-Hulk,” was once a very thin teenager and faced bullying because of her small size. By the age of 14, she had a weight of only 40 kilograms.

Starting Her Path to Bodybuilding
Her father believed that joining a gym could be beneficial for increasing her self-assurance, which is where her career in the sport of bodybuilding began. She recalls, “When I was growing up, I was like a scared little mouse.”
Modern Physique and Early Achievements
Today, the most muscular woman in the world has a physique weighing between 246 and 275 pounds. At the age of 15, Nataliya secured a regional bodybuilding championship victory in Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia.
The Catalyst for a Powerlifting Career
“Like everyone else, I initially went to the gym without a specific goal, but after three months, my coach asked if I would be interested in participating in a bodybuilding contest,” she shared. That event marked the beginning of her notable career in powerlifting.
Record-Breaking Success
According to The Famous People, Nataliya went on to win the Cup of Eurasia in Vologda, Russia, in 2014, and was crowned the Cup Eastern Europe (GPA) Champion the following year, in 2015. She has since been setting numerous records in categories such as powerlifting, the deadlift, and the NAP bench press.
Focus on Effort and Progress
“It’s not about achieving perfection—it’s about showing up, making an effort, and completing the work necessary to become who you envision,” she wrote on her Facebook account. “Every day offers a new chance to move forward a little more.”
Beyond the Gym: Academics and Arts
In addition to being the world’s most muscular woman, Nataliya holds a degree from the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture. She also took part in the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia’s production of Manon Lescaut.
Her Supportive Marriage
This Russian “giant” is married to former bodybuilder Vladislav Kuznetsov, who she describes as her greatest source of support. She is physically larger than him, but this is a non-issue for the couple.
A Modern Love Story
“Our love story is quite modern. We met online, specifically on Odnoklassniki (a Russian social network). For a while, we communicated just as friends,” she mentioned back in 2019.
Public Recognition and Fame
Speaking to LedBible, she noted, “People definitely recognize me. An athletic build is visible even under clothing. Many people recognize me and ask to take a photo. Many even know my name.”
From Struggle to Sponsorships
Nataliya had difficulty securing sponsorships in the early stages of her career, but since her powerlifting career took off, many corporations have been eager to collaborate. She currently works with nutrition companies such as Oxytropin and RPS Nutrition, among others.
Challenging Traditional Standards
She understands that her appearance can be “frightening” to some but adds that “The classic standards and norms disappeared a long time ago.” Nataliya considers the mirror to be her most reliable source of advice.
Male-Dominated Following
“The majority of my Instagram followers are men. They make up about 75%, and the percentage is similar on other social media platforms. They send many messages. Compliments for an athlete are not any different than compliments for someone who is not an athlete,” she commented.
A Focus on Inspiring Others
She is currently retired from competitive powerlifting and is now using her fame to motivate and assist others in “reaching their full potential.”
