A woman receives online attention for the clothing she had her kid wear to school.

After discovering something important about her son’s personality, a mother in Texas decided to discipline him. In school, the boy was a troublemaker. Officials from the school he attended approached his mother to inform her that he had been bullying other pupils there.

The Texas mother chose to make her bully son wear a T-shirt that said, “I am a BULLY,” because she believed that her kid had gone down the wrong path and was calling other children “idiots” and “stupid.” Mom wanted the people in his community to identify her son as a bully at Greenleaf Elementary School.

She was aware that her kid was a terrible person to other students and that other students had heard this. She let her son wear a T-shirt that embarrassed him in front of hundreds of people at the school, not to mention thousands of people on Facebook who saw his mother’s social media post, because she wanted everyone to know that she believed them. “He was referring to other boys as foolish (and) idiots,” the Texas mother, Star, who preferred to be called by her first name alone, according to KTRK-TV. I’m a really traditional parent. I don’t pamper my kids. I tell them the truth without holding back.

Star uploaded a photo of the youngster sporting the T-shirt to her Facebook page because she wanted as many people to be aware that her son was a bully. In her post, Star expressed her intention to personally apologize to all the parents of the children her son may have tormented.

Star defended herself against critics in the online community and stood by her actions, despite the opinion of some that she punished her bully son too harshly. He said, “I learned that I didn’t like the way that felt, and I don’t want anybody else to feel that way because of me,” when Star asked him what he had learned from the experience. That’s precisely what I want him to learn from it. Experts in the field of child development oppose Star’s punishment.

A child psychiatrist at Baylor College of Medicine criticized Star for how she treated her son, even though he was a bully who was harming other kids. The child psychiatrist stated, “Not a good idea to embarrass your child and solidify a negative identity in an elementary school child.” “I believe the school is one resource she can use to find assistance.” Despite facing backlash on social media and other online platforms, Star maintained that her son’s school district supported her choice. “Parents have the right to make important decisions and take certain actions on behalf of their child,” stated Splendora ISD. How do you feel about this mother disciplining her son who bullies others?
