Selena Gomez Has Savage Two-Word Reply To Critics After Revealing She Cannot Carry Children.

Selena Gomez recently revealed that her health prevents her from being pregnant.

Selena Gomez spoke directly to those who think that since she is upfront about her bipolar condition and her infertility, she is a “victim.”

At a Women in Film event in California recently, the actress from Only Murders in the Building spoke candidly on how she has managed to be real in the entertainment industry and the power she finds in vulnerability.

In a video from the event that has since gone viral on X, Gomez stated, “I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help or when you want help—that is not shameful.”

When it came to people who criticized her for being transparent, she didn’t hold back.

“Yes, I did disclose that I am unable to conceive. Yes, I disclosed that I had bipolar disorder. Fuck off,” she screamed, drawing a round of applause from the crowd.

Gomez continued by saying that this is just a fact of life for her.

That sums up my existence. That’s my identity,” she went on.

“And I only want to be an advocate for women, and that’s why I share, that’s why I like to be honest.”

She reminded everyone not to be ashamed of their challenges and underlined that everyone is struggling with something.

“Everyone experiences some sort of hardship. I am not an expert in everything. I’m not a whatever, you know. All I can be is me, and I am that.”

She concluded on a powerful note, in typical Selena fashion: “So screw anyone who tells you you’re a victim.” I think you’re a survivor.”

The singer and actress spoke up to Vanity Fair earlier this year about the heartbreaking truth of not being able to have her own children because of health issues.

“I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children,” she remarked.

“So yeah I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah I shared I have bipolar. F*CK OFF! That’s what my life is. That’s who I am. Screw anyone who tells you you’re a victim. You’re a survivor in my book.” pic.twitter.com/ANdGUXqpDL— Selena Gomez News (@SGomezNewsCOMs) September 20, 2024

She went on to say that because of her health issues, being pregnant would be dangerous for both her and the unborn child.

“I have several health problems that might endanger both the baby’s and my lives. I had to grieve for a time about it.”

Selena clarified that she had always pictured herself as a typical parent.

It’s not always how I had imagined it. I assumed things would proceed like it does for everyone,” she said.

However, she has accepted this aspect of her life over time and is now open to exploring alternative avenues for parenthood, such adoption or surrogacy.

“With that, I’m in a lot better position. The fact that there are amazing people ready to adopt or surrogate is a godsend in my opinion, since these are two really exciting options for me.”

She went on, “It truly made me appreciate the alternative platforms available to those who are longing to become mothers. I am among those individuals.

Despite the hurdles, Selena remains positive about the future. “I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different.”

She is certain about one thing, though, regardless of how her voyage turns out: “At the end of the day, I don’t care.” I’ll own it. It will be mine to have.”
