This woman offered to take a picture of a family that appeared to be quite happy that they went for ice cream together.

More people who are willing to do kind deeds for strangers are needed in the world.

We should never be afraid to assist when we can since we never know when a simple act of kindness from us will mean a great deal to the individual standing next to us.

Additionally, helping others or just giving without expecting anything in return will always make us feel better, even if it isn’t a tangible gesture.

After attending her nephew’s tennis lesson, Joyce Rhinehart decided to go grab ice cream together.

They noticed another family enjoying ice cream together after they had finished theirs and were about to depart; they appeared to be in good health and were having a great time.

Joyce asked the family if it was okay if she took their photo since she had an odd need to do so. They said OK.

With the family’s permission, Joyce uploaded the photo on Facebook with the kind words, “I took this picture and then I gave my phone to their daughter, I told her to send it to one of their phones.”

A few days later, Joyce was shocked and overcome with emotion when she opened a note she had gotten from an unknown person.

He received a message from the father of the family he had taken pictures of. He informed her that Joyce had taken their final photo together and that his wife had passed away a few days after their visit to the ice cream store.

For this reason, the man chose to express his gratitude to Joyce for the photo and for her kind act of snapping a photo of them together.

The woman had been sick for more than a year, Joyce later learned. Death never comes as a surprise, so we should treasure every minute we have, especially the ones we spend with those we love.

This story also demonstrates the impact a modest gesture may have on others around us.

When Joyce learned what had happened, she was startled and felt terrible for the lovely family she had met, especially during such a trying time.

After some time, she decided to write a social media post encouraging people to show kindness, particularly if their gut tells them to, as it did for her.

Amazingly, I gave them this gift that now means everything to them, just because I followed my instinct and intuition that said, “Never underestimate a beautiful gesture you make at random, apparently out of a whim of the moment,” she wrote. “My heart is now heavy because it is with this cute family that I don’t even know.”
