Boss accused me of fabricating that I have a son and got me imprisoned when I requested a week off to care for my ill child.

It can be terrible to feel underappreciated and unloved after spending years working for the same employer, but tragically, this is a common experience. This is among the reasons it is not appropriate for us to prioritize our work above all else.

Such experiences should be viewed as priceless life lessons that teach us that our value isn’t based on the opinion of a single employer.


An employee by the name of Annie told a tale of how her supervisor had her endure agony without any justification.

In particular, the woman disclosed that she hadn’t utilized her yearly leave, so she thought her boss wouldn’t mind if she took some time off to care for her ailing son, Kenny. Alas, she was mistaken.

He was solely interested in the marketing reports when she called to inform him her son had a high fever and needed to visit a doctor.

He said, “Are you serious, Annie?” “You’re leaving me right before our annual general meeting in two days? I require the marketing reports, as you are aware.

“Sir, I apologize,” she answered. But I’m merely unable to enter. The reports are finished as well. I sent you an email with them this morning.

He hung up the phone without of bothering to respond, though.

After a week, Kenny returned to school and felt better. Annie went back to work, but as she walked into her office, her supervisor was seated on her chair and Putting his hands together. An another cop was present, clutching handcuffs.

“Annie,” said the manager. “Thank you for coming back. I’m going to surprise you.

The uniformed officer started reading her her rights before she could even respond.

“What’s happening?” Her breathing became difficult and she gasped.

I have noticed, Annie, that you are not a mother of a boy. You will immediately get punishment. Annie, good play, but your falsehoods were discovered.

Annie found herself in a holding cell and then in the police station in the next instant. She was left shaking, unable to figure out what went wrong, and her phone call was denied.

She eventually spoke with another officer, who gave her permission to call. She phoned her lawyer friend Mia, fearing for her life and future.

Arriving at the station where Annie was being kept in no time, Mia immediately accepted Annie’s case.

Mia remarked, “Something shady is going on here.” Needless to say, there were a few loud voices when she spoke with some of the cops. She managed to free Annie in the end.

After doing some research, Mia discovered that Annie’s supervisor had hired an officer to arrest her after falsely accusing her of a crime. After an investigation, the emails he sent to the cops became visible. The explanation for this was that in line with the business agreements, The employment agreement will be canceled and any unpaid wages will be taken by the employer if an employee is arrested, accused of, or involved in any criminal conduct.

In Annie’s instance, it was her unpaid wages.

Annie was given a job opportunity by Mia, who also saved her life. She now handles PR and marketing for Mia’s company. As for her previous employment, the corporation said that Annie’s supervisor acted alone and promised to give her $40,000 as moral recompense and in good faith.
