Three fair-haired women were seated by a river, their fishing poles dipped in the water.
Approaching from behind, a game warden gave one of them a little touch on the shoulder before saying, “Excuse me, ladies. I’d like to see your fishing licenses.”
The first blonde answered, “We don’t have any.”
“Alright, you need a license for fishing if you’re planning on fishing fish.”
The second blonde answered, “But officer, we’re not fishing.” All of us
has magnets at the ends of our ropes, and we’re gathering trash from the river’s bed.”
Indeed, there were magnets linked to the ends of each line when the warden hauled up all of the wires.
The warden answered, “Well, I know of no law against it. Take all the debris you want.” And he walked away.
The moment he was out of sight, the three blondes broke out into fits of laughter.
The second blonde said to the other two, “What a dumb cop—doesn’t he know that this river contains steelhead trout?!”
