A 14-YEAR-OLD BUYS A 1974 CAMPER AND FIXES IT. When I saw the inside, I was astounded and couldn’t find the words to describe it.

Numerous students are at a loss for things to do with their spare time during summer break. While some teenagers work, others attend camp or go on family vacations.

But Ellie Yeater, a West Virginia 14-year-old, had a well-defined summertime schedule. She was determined to realize her ambition of transforming an outdated camper into a fun hangout for herself and her pals.

And what do you know? This girl deserves all the accolades in the world for the incredible outcome!

Ellie Yeater, then 14 years old, opted to restore a 1974 camper in 2016. She paid for it with money she received for her birthday and made it into a beautiful place she could call her own.

Getting the insides looking nice was going to be a major challenge. The camper’s furniture required a whole overhaul because it was all the same as it had been in the 1970s. According to Elli’s mother Lori, “It needed a lot of work, a whole lot.”

Ellie started by cleaning and repairing the flooring since she was eager to get started on her ideal project. Fortunately, she had her dad and brother, who are excellent renovators, to help and mentor her every step of the way.

After Ellie had repaired any damage and cleaned the flooring, it was time to decorate the camper. She wanted to modify the hue first of all. She painted it in a stunning shade of blue dubbed “mystic sea” since she wanted it to represent her personal flair.

It was time to address the inside now.

Ellie used aqua blue as an accent and painted it a peachy shade.

Ellie also installed a completely new floor.

The 1970s-era tiles were replaced with brand-new ones with wood patterns.

It was Ellie’s turn to bring in the décor now.

Ellie’s grandma even started making pillows, towels, and curtains at this time.

Ellie transformed the trailer into her own exclusive retreat in a single summer; the before and after photos hardly show the camper at all.

Isn’t it amazing how well a 14-year-old completed this project? Amazing!

Ellie received support and direction from her loved ones while working on the project because they wanted to assist her with her summer project.

And of course, they had a standing offer to see her at her camper.

“I never said to her that there was nothing she could do. She has always thought beyond the box. She shouldn’t ever feel pressured to stay inside the lines, in my opinion. Ellie’s mother Lori exclaims, “I want her to color the entire page!”
