Emma Watson and Brandon Green apparently split up after dating for less than two years.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple split up after Christmas 2022 after a roughly 18-month romance.
Their romance was so intense that they met each other’s parents and took several romantic adventures together, including a trip to Venice, Italy.
During their vacation, the couple was photographed walking across the city and boarding a boat together. The Daily Mail also confirmed that Sir Philip Green’s son had been ‘wooing’ the Harry Potter star.
According to E! News, the ex-couple first fuelled romance rumors in September 2021 when they were pictured together after jumping off of a helicopter in London.
Prior to Green, the 33-year-old British actress, model, and activist dated Los Angeles businessman Leo Robinson. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2017, Emma confessed that she was a quiet person who preferred to keep her personal life secret.
“I want to be consistent: I can’t talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home,” she said. “You can’t have it both ways.”
“I’ve noticed, in Hollywood, who you’re dating gets tied up into your film promotion and becomes part of the performance and the circus. I would hate anyone that I was with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act.”
Green is the son of Sir Philip Green, a well-known businessman, and entrepreneur who made a fortune from fast fashion through his firm, The Arcadia Group, which owns various retailing groupings such as Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, and Miss Selfridge.
The couple’s split comes just a month after the Perks of Being a Wallflower actress celebrated her 33rd birthday with a lengthy comment about ‘getting old’ on Instagram.
“This is 33. Holy moly. Before 29, I hadn’t even heard of a Saturn Return as a concept. Let’s just say that now I am well acquainted,” she wrote in April.
Watson mentioned in her post how she stepped away from life and went through many good, bad, and tough situations over the years.
“I cut my thumb nail off on both hands trying to cook for myself and then was only able to do things one-handed for months,” she continued. “I felt really sad and really p*ssed off about a lot of things. I learned more about love and being a woman… It took me three years but I have finally figured out a daily practice and can actually keep it for more than a few days in a row.”
