My wife keeps missing flights to visit my daughter, so I decided to board the plane alone and teach her a lesson.

A 47-year-old guy boarded an aircraft to visit his daughter after his 43-year-old wife left to buy Starbucks at the airport. It was the second time she had caused them to miss their flight, so he stopped waiting for her.

Jess, the couple’s daughter, was attending college in another state and they only saw her on holidays and weekends. Jess enjoys family reunions, so she was thrilled when the pair booked tickets to visit her. Unfortunately, traveling together was not an enjoyable experience. The man valued organization and punctuality. When traveling, he prefers to start the day early in case of unanticipated occurrences. His wife, on the other hand, has a more laid-back disposition.

Things took a turn for the worse when they were supposed to fly to Jess and missed two flights. A year ago, the couple scheduled a flight for 10 a.m. The man intended to arrive at the airport 90 minutes early. Given that they lived 30 minutes away, the man decided it was better to leave by 8 a.m.

Aside from the driving time, he gave them minutes to park the car and walk to the boarding area. That day, the man got up at 6 a.m. to double-check everything. He attempted five times to wake up his wife, but to no avail.

Finally, she awoke at 7:40 a.m. Despite having only 20 minutes, she made coffee, took a shower, and ate a bowl of cereal. As a result, they left the house at 9 a.m.

Unfortunately, the airport was more crowded than normal. Because to the enormous queues at security, the couple delayed their flight. The airline also refused to refund the ticket.

The dad had to miss almost a whole day with their daughter because he was given fresh tickets for the following day. The man remarked, “Jess was disappointed, to put it mildly.”
