On Reddit, a number of social media users posted pictures of everyday objects that appeared anything but. Both the community members and the individuals who submitted the photos were in disbelief.
Things that happen every day can suddenly turn remarkable when we least expect it to. A few fortunate Reddit members shared their strange and fascinating experiences with the community on Reddit.
Vibrant Corn Kernels
Three corn ears from the same variety/plantation experienced an odd but intriguing natural occurrence, which was recounted by a Reddit user.
One corn had colors that resembled marbles: orange, brown, black, purple, and green. The second corn had some purple, brown, and black in it, but it was mostly yellow. The final corn had pink and purple tones throughout.
Frosted Blossoms
Following an October storm in Oklahoma City, a Reddit member showed off the lovely result of the freezing weather on their flowers. Cone flowers in the picture became stuck in the ice, giving the image the appearance of an ice painting.
Cedarwood in purple
A gorgeous image of someone saw cutting logs in a forest was posted on Reddit, showcasing the hue of the cedar wood’s interior. It was an amazing sight, as the naturally brown wood revealed a purple-pinkish hue in the center.
An Extremely Tall Sunflower
Sunflowers normally point toward the sun, but one blossom reached nearly twice the height of a five-foot-ten woman when it flowered vertically toward the sky.
A Reddit user who happened to be that tall posted a picture of a sunflower growing by the side of the road and stepped next to it to give perspective.
Unknown Lemon
A green lemon with no distinct shape and an alien appearance was discovered by a Reddit member who grows lemons in their garden.
The fruit had several bumps that almost revealed its insides, and it seemed like it had tentacles. The Reddit user called it a “freak lemon from my garden.”
Filled with Sand Spoon Handle
A woman was cooking her leftover turkey when a sad yet fascinating thing happened to her. The handle of the serving spoon broke when she was preparing the dinner. It turned out to contain sand, which she unintentionally spilled all over the food she was preparing at the time. She penned:
“My delicious leftover turkey stuffing was ruined by it.”
The blue toilet seat
A Reddit user posted a picture of his pregnant wife’s naturally blue-tinted padded toilet seat. “Our toilet seat went blue when my wife was pregnant. Nobody really knows why, but it seems that pregnant women frequently experience this,” the person wrote.
People who have blue, brown, green, yellow, or black colored sweating are diagnosed with chromhidrosis. Sweat that is colored can appear on the breasts, underarms, or face.
Giant Penne Pasta
Although the Italian pasta brand Barilla has been making various kinds of pasta for a while, production gaps may occur in the same way as with many other manufacturing firms.
The little penne, one of their options, is purportedly smaller than the standard penne size. One Reddit user did discover a pennant that was as long as the box, though. The huge penne would have been a more fitting moniker for this particular item.
A spaghetti plate containing a cotton ball of mold
For a full week, a Reddit user overlooked a plate of pasta with mushrooms in their microwave. When it was found again, the spaghetti was hardly visible due to a large mold development that had grown above the plate and resembled a fluffy cotton ball.
Pizza with Pepperoni Sliced Inequally
While it is occasionally possible to cut circular pizzas into square pieces, cutting them diagonally would yield equal triangular slices. But a person’s father didn’t want pizza that was sliced into squares or triangles.
He chose to cut the pie into strange shapes and sizes so as not to cut the pepperoni toppings, leaving the salami whole. A commenter revealed their typical method for not slicing through the meat:
In order to make straight-line slices without slicing the pepperoni, I realign it before baking. And I believed that to be insane. However, this is only level 2.
Although the person’s suggestion was a great way to solve the issue, it wouldn’t apply to pizza that is delivered or purchased from a store.
